Leadership
Rabbi Tuchman began his teaching Career at Westchester Day School, where he
was awarded the Gruss Life Monument Award for Excellence in Teaching. From
there, he moved with his family to California to become the head of Oakland
Hebrew Day School. While there, he led the school through a period of
tremendous growth, taking it from a small K-3 startup to a full K-8 school which
was nationally recognized for excellence.
Since leaving Oakland, Rabbi Tuchman has been head of School at the Adolph
Schreiber Hebrew Academy of Rockland in Monsey, NY and has supervised and
mentored student teachers for the Azrieli Graduate School at Yeshiva University,
where he is currently a doctoral candidate.
Rabbi Tuchman is proud to be a part of the Yeshiva at the Jersey Shore family,
and looks forward to helping our children and our school grow in the years to
come.

Head of School: Rabbi Elie Tuchman
Rabbi Elie Tuchman grew up in Monsey, NY. After high school he spent two years at Yeshivat Shaalvim in Israel, and later graduated from Yeshiva College with a BA in Computer Science. Rabbi Tuchman was ordained at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and earned a MA in Jewish Education and Administration from the Azrieli Graduate School. He also holds an MA in Computer Science from New York University.
